The Kusakabe’s house was built in 1879,and it was designated as a national important cultural property in 1966.
The architecture has characteristics from the late Edo and early Meiji era and was opened as a folk museum.
It is currently open to the public as the Folk Crafts Museum.
There are many exhibits from historical valuables to modern art, and these are from various ages and countries.
